Conference place:

The TUG2006 will be hosted by the Cadi Ayyad University (UCAM), in Faculty of Science Semlalia (FSSM).

Excursion:

An excursion will be organized to Essaouira city during the Sunday 12 November 2006. Depart time will be at 8h and the return at 20h.

Essaouira, old Mogador, is known as Wind City. It is a small town of fishermen located at the edge of the ocean at 170 km in the west of Marrakech and the north of Agadir. The climate is moderate, 20°C throughout the year. Essaouira is the city of the artists, particularly Gnaoua.

You will discover white washed and blue shuttered houses, art galleries, wood workshops, fishermen and colorful boats... all enclosed by ancient red walls. Everything in the small center is within walking distance, these no cars in the center. The beaches are clean.

Walk:

A walk with caliches, or Open bus, around of Marrakech and these tourist places will be organized during one half-day. This walk can be during the days of the conference or those of the tutorials according to the load of the program.

• The Menara International Airport in Marrakesh is 25 min far from Conference local (or center or hotels) by taxi for about €4 (can be shared between until 3 persons, if you find them).
• The Mohamed V International Airport in Casablanca is 30 min far from Casablanca by train for about €5/person or by taxi for about €24 (can be shared between until 6 persons, if you find them). Casablanca is 240 Km far from Marrakesh in the north. There is train service for about €10/person. From Mohamed V International Airport to Marrakesh directly by taxi is for about €140 (can be shared between until 6 persons, if you find them) and less then 3 hours.
• The International Airport in Agadir is 30 min far from Agadir Center by taxi for about €10 (can be shared between until 3 persons, if you find them). Agadir is 220 Km far from Marrakesh in the south by bus for about €10/person and about 5 hours. From International Airport in Agadir to Marrakesh directly by taxi is for about €170 (can be shared between until 6 persons, if you find them) and about 4 hours.
