TUG 2006
The TeX Users Group (TUG) Annual Meeting and Conference was first incorporated by a first gathering that was in 1980 at Stanford in U.S.
After TUG 2003 in America (Hawaii - USA), TUG 2004 in Europe (Xanthi - Greece), TUG 2005 in Asia (Wuhan - China), the next TUG 2006 will held in Africa, more precisely in Marrakesh. So, processing multilingual e-documents will go beyond the limits of its traditional cultural areas and new horizons in the internationalization of TeX will be explored. That will also contribute to the promotion of developing and using free and open software.
The conference will be held from November 9-11, 2006.
The city of Marrakesh has been founded in 1156. It has been for long periods the capital of an empire stretching all over north Africa, the great Sahara and south of Spain (Andalusia). Now, it's the touristic capital of Morocco. Many international meetings are held in Marrakesh each year. The international airport is at 15 min from the downtown. The Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakesh is one of the biggest Universities in Morocco.
The Conference consists on scientific and technical talks, panels and poster sessions, as well as tutorials, which dedicated to present investigations on E-Document Technology.
