Presentation :
All human ingenuity is based on geomaterials since antiquity. All areas are interested . They actually used in ceramics, building, industry, health and high technology as aerospace and nuclear. They are used everyday in our life.
Hence, it is essential to an understanding the utility of materials, is to characterize then by analyzing its properties.
Many techniques to characterize materials are used. They are based on different physical principles. Among these techniques which can identify the chemical composition of materials.
This third TANCA scientific event aims as the unifying theme: "geomaterials; characterization to application ".
This component included a range of topics:
* Technical characterization of geomaterials: ANN, XRF, ICP, Raman, IR, RX, ....
* Physico-chemical and structural properties of geomaterials.
* Storage matrices of certain wastes.
* Preserving of monument and heritage materials.
* Industry: cement, ceramics, concrete, glass, electro-chemistry...
* The environment: pollution of soil and agricultural wastewater and / or industrial materials (heavy metals, pesticides, etc ...).
These themes combine the contribution of physical chemistry geochemistry and biology desciplines in characterization of solids and liquids.
